its outstanding compact design, the C-LAS Series is especially suitable for
applications in the field of robotics. Due to the high type of protection
(IP67) and the scratch-proof glass cover of the optical unit, the sensors can
be operated in rough industrial environments. Apart from the laser ranging

D-LAS Series - Laser Digital Light Barriers
The
laser digital light barriers of D-LAS Series work with visible parallel laser
light. The use of round or rectangular apertures ensures a homogeneous light
distribution in the laser beam. Smallest objects are detected even in case of a
large transmitter/receiver distance. Dynamic correction of the switching
threshold compensates the effect of dirt accumulation (with D-LAS1, D-LAS2,
D-LAS34, and D-LAS-34/90).
These light barriers are ideal for
positioning tasks. |
F-LAS Series - Laser Fork Light Barriers
Parallel

potentiometer.
These laser light barriers are ideal for positioning
tasks. |

LBC Series - Laser Blade Counters
The LBC Series
impeller vane counters are primarily used for detecting and counting the vanes
or blades of turbo- chargers and fans.
The high scanning frequency and
the standardized data evaluation of the laser sensor allow its application with
objects of different color and speeds of up to 30000 rpm.
The visible

LCC Series laser copy counters
primarily are designed for detecting and counting magazines or single sheets in
imbricated arrangement.
In the optimal operating range they detect sheet
edges of a thickness of typ. 50 µm. The sensors of series LCC are
characterised by their reliable function, their ease of operation, and their
sturdy mechanical construction.
Further characterising features of this
sensor series are their high scanning frequency and their ability to adjust
themselves to differently bright and dark, or slow and fast moving parts. |
LUMI Series - Luminescence Sensors
Luminescence
sensors are applied where adhesives, sealing compounds, special liquids, or
other materials are combined with fluorescent substances. When illuminated with
UV-light, these fluorescent additives will light up and emit light in the
visible spectrum (e.g. red, orange, yellow, green, blue).
In the LUMI
Series sensors, modulated UV light is employed to suppress outside light
sensitivity. The special optical arrangement of optical emitter and receiver
(radial or linear emitter) allows operating distances of up to 100 mm. The
sensors are equipped with an RS232 interface, the Windows® software is
included in the delivery. |

RLS Series - Gloss Detection
Sensors
The sensors of RLS-GD series are used for online
measurement of gloss degree. In the production of plastic sheets (design
sheets, wall coverings, floor coverings, table coatings, foam sheets, and
coated carrier materials for the furniture industry, automobile industry,
fashion industry, or construction industry) and ceramic parts (ceramic tiles
and plates for wall and floor) 100% quality inspection of the optically visible
surface has become an ever more frequent requirement.'
For this purpose
the RLS-GD sensors feature non-contacting detection of the gloss degree. The
simultaneous measurement of the object from two different directions (direct
reflection and diffuse reflection) allows intensity-independent evaluation. The
sensor can be taught to a certain surface, and up to 31 tolerance windows can
be applied around the taught value. Measurement output is performed digitally
by way of five outputs. |
R-LAS Series - Laser Reflex Sensors
The laser
reflex light barriers of the R-LAS-LR Series operate according to the principle
of auto-collimation. An integrated polarisation filter ensures protection
against spurious triggering caused by reflecting objects. The laser power
adjusts itself to the respective reflector and reflector distance.
Parameterisable under Windows® with Sensor Instruments software
LR-SCOPE.
The laser reflex light sensors of the R-LAS-LT Series operate
according to the principle of triangulation with background suppression. The
measuring object is measured independent of the surface quality, color, and
background. Standardised evaluation and automatic power correction ensure a
very dynamic range. Parameterisable under Windows® with Sensor Instruments
software RT-SCOPE or LT-Scope. |
SI-COLO Series - Color Sensors
The color sensors
of SI-COLO Series operate according to the 3-color-range principle, with a
white-light LED as a light source.
Except of the sensors of SI-COLO1
series, the color sensors can be parameterized under Windows® through the
serial RS232 interface.
- SI-COLO1 (3 primary colors RED, GREEN, BLUE)
- SI-COLO2 (15 colors, 8-bit A/D conversion)
- SI-COLO3 (15 colors, 12-bit A/D conversion)

|
SI-JET - Laser Spray Jet Control System
By means
of three laser light barriers integrated in a transmitter and receiver unit the
SI-JET laser spray jet control system checks the density, symmetry, and cone
angle of the spray jet.
Choked or incorrectly set nozzles can thus be
detected in time. A comprehensive software (SPRAYER-Scope) allows
parameterization of the system via Windows®. By using the supplied
adjustment facility the laser transmitter unit can be easily and comfortably
aligned with the receiver unit. |
SPECTRO-3 Series - color
sensors
With the SPECTRO-3 series there now is a family of color
sensors that has been specifically designed for "true-color" detection ("human
color reception") and high switching frequency.
The sensors can be
operated both in AC and in DC mode, with integrated or external light source.
With the included SPECTRO3-Scope software illumination can also be turned off
with a simple mouse-click, which then also allows the color and brightness
inspection of self-luminous objects such as LEDs, automobile tail lights,
halogen lamps, or fluorescent lamps.
Up to 31 colors can be provided
through the 5 digital outputs, the maximum switching frequency is 30 kHz. Apart
from a super-bright white-light source, a high-performance UV light source also
is available, which allows the color and brightness differentiation of
fluorescent colors without any problems. Different frontends make it possible
to implement operating distances of almost 0 mm through to 500 mm, with
detection areas of Ø 0.5 mm to approx. Ø 100 mm. The use of an
optical fibre version allows applications in Ex areas.
In the SPECTRO-3
series great importance was attached to a compact design and to the largest
possible extent to a uniform appearance of the various types (M34 design),
which facilitates sensor installation |

TLB
Series - Trigger Light Barriers
The light barriers of TLB Series
are mainly used in the field of metal stamping. They are available in IR
version as well as in VIS version, in split shape as well as in fork shape
(with or without compressed air supply). Characteristical for all light
barriers of TLB Series is the external electronics: Pulsating light or constant
light amplifier with digital output or analog output (voltage output and
current output).
The light barriers are primarily mounted at the
stamping die bottom part, and are available with a so-called tool plug. The
connection from the tool plug to the interface box is established by means of a
connecting cable. Pulsating light and constant light amplifiers are usually
connected to the interface box. |
