Sensors for the near (NIR), mid (MIR) and short wave infrared (SWIR) ranges
Welcome to Sensor Instruments

When it comes to detecting spoilt food in good time, determining the moisture content of textiles, wood pellets and paper webs, or differentiating between plastics, NIR, MIR, and SWIR sensors provide outstanding service.
MIR sensor technology in particular enables differentiation between different soot-coloured plastics and the measurement of oil layer thicknesses in the sub-micrometre range, even with synthetic oils, i.e. oils that do not produce fluorescence when UV light is used. Is water trapped in the plastic recyclate? MIR sensor technology even enables the user to look inside the granules and determine the water content!
