Laboratory measuring systems
LUMI-LAB Series, LUMI-TAU-LAB Series,
MULTI-RANGE-LAB Series

Laboratory measuring systems for detailed analysis of safety features at laboratory

LUMI-LAB Series

The devices of the LUMI-LAB series are primarily used with granulate samples and powder samples with a very high marker content. The tau value of the samples to be examined is determined in individual wavelength sections (TAU spectrometer).
The following wavelength ranges are available as sources of excitation light: UVA, blue, red, NIR. Depending on the marker type, the secondary emission is located in the visible wavelength range or in the NIR range:

UVA excitation → VIS
Blue excitation → NIR
Red excitation → NIR
NIR excitation → NIR

LUMI-TAU-LAB Series

The LUMI-TAU-LAB series is used to detect phosphorescent (luminescent) markers added to the respective plastic granulate. The quality of the marked plastic granulate can be checked in a timely fashion when taking pellet samples during production.
Different light sources are available to excite the respective marker: UVA, blue, green, red, NIR. Depending on the marker type, the secondary emission is located in the visible wavelength range or in the NIR range:

UVA excitation → VIS
Blue excitation → NIR
Green excitation → NIR
Red excitation → NIR
NIR excitation → NIR

MULTI-RANGE-LAB Series:

SINGLE-RANGE-LAB Series (single-channel sensors)
With the help of the single-channel sensors of the SINGLE-RANGE-LAB series, the fluorescence of pellet samples can already be determined during production (fluorescent markers are added to the plastic granulate). Moreover, this device series is also suitable for determining the phosphorescence of the phosphorescent markers added to the plastic granulate by determining the cut-off frequency of the optical low-pass filter. Pellets produced from marked recyclates can also be examined in terms of fluorescence and phosphorescence.
The following wavelength ranges are available as excitation light sources for activating the respective markers used: UVA, blue, green, red. The secondary response (fluorescence or phosphorescence) takes place in the visible wavelength range and the NIR range:

UVA excitation → VIS + NIR detector
Blue excitation → VIS (from yellow) + NIR detector
Green excitation → VIS (from red) + NIR detector
Red excitation → NIR- detector

DOUBLE-RANGE-LAB Series (two-channel sensors)
The two-channel sensors of the DOUBLE-RANGE-LAB series each have two sources of excitation light and two detection ranges. Two different markers can be detected consecutively in the respective samples, if they are present. Both the fluorescent markers added to the plastic granulate and the phosphorescent (luminescent) markers can be measured. Quality control can already be carried out during the production of the pellets by taking a pellet sample.
The following wavelength ranges are available as excitation light sources to activate the markers used: UVA, blue, green, red. The respective secondary response takes place in both the visible wavelength range and the NIR range (depending on the marker type):

UVA/blue excitation → VIS + NIR/VIS (from yellow) + NIR
UVA/red excitation → VIS + NIR/NIR
Blue/red excitation → VIS (from yellow) + NIR/NIR

TRIPLE-RANGE-LAB Series (three range sensors)
The three range sensors of the TRIPLE-RANGE-LAB series can be excited with a light source. A RGB detector (red/green/blue) divides the visible range into three areas. The fluorescent markers added to the plastic granulate can be monitored during production via pellet sampling.
The following wavelength ranges are available as excitation light sources to activate the fluorescent markers used: UVA, blue. The respective secondary response takes place in both the visible wavelength range and the upper visible wavelength range (depending on the marker type).

UVA excitation → VIS
Blue excitation → VIS (from yellow)
