Dubbelarkskontroll
En robot ska plocka metallplåtar. Den ska bara ta en plåt åt gången av bl.a. säkerhetsskäl. En sensor kontrollerar detta från sidan och systemet ska automatiskt justeras efter typ av metallplåt så som tjocklek och vilken metall det är.

Double sheet control
Metal plates should be removed from a stack with a robot. The robot sucks the metal sheets one by one and it should be avoided for safety reasons to move two metal sheets simultaneously. A sensor should detect double sheet not from the top but from the side. Furthermore, the system should be adapted automatically after a change of the type of metal sheet (different thickness or different metal).

Differentiation of leather and leather imitations in the automotive interior field
Sometimes a color differentiation between interior materials with exactly the same color and the same gloss factor is not possible, even with the best color sensor. Thus another sensor must close this gap. Indeed the different materials may have the same color and the same gloss, but a different structure as shown in the photos.

Kontroll av kantlinje på slipband
På slipband finns en linje vid ytterkanten av slipytan. Denna linje ska detekteras och den skiljer sig i färg mot slipytan och det rena bandet. Oftast är den mörkare än bandet men ljusare än slipytan vilket gör att givaren kan detektera den smala linjen.

Control of margined abrasive belts
Different sanding belts are equipped with a margin and this margin has to be controlled. The margin can be present on the sanding side of the abrasive belt or on the rear side. Furthermore the margin can be darker than the rear side but mostly it is brighter than the sanding surface. Nevertheless there is a sufficient difference in contrast between the margin and the rear side or the sanding side.

Övervakning av sidoförskjutning av transportband - kantstyrning
Inom träindustrin (tillverkning av MDF-skivor) och pappersindustrin används speciella transportband av rostfritt stål eller konstfiberband. Kontroll av bandets läge i sida ska göras med noggrannhet av ±0,2 mm medan bandets läge i höjdled kan variera ±2 mm.

Lateral position control of conveyor belts in the wood and paper industry
In the wood industry (during the production e.g. of MDFs = medium density fiberboards) as well as in the paper industry, special conveyor belts are in use. The lateral position of the band material must be hold in a range of ±0.2mm, whereas the vertical position can change in the range of ±2mm. The material of the conveyor belt is either stainless steel or plastic fabric.
