Distance measurement and positioning

During the production of recyclates, deposits, particularly on the mechanical filters, can lead to undesirable color deviations from the intended recyclate color. Particularly in the case of light-colored recyclate, for example so-called natural-colored granulate, individual dark grains can lead to unacceptable discoloration during further processing.
The task of the line sensor system type L-LAS-CAM-512-CL used in conjunction with a wide-angle lens type MO-G-1.6/16 and a line emitter type LU-LED-430-RED is to detect individual dark pellets in the recyclate flow on the vibrating feeder and to generate a digital signal (+24V pulse) at the same time. (...)

Especially the counting of transparent, stacked plastic caps, as they for example frequently are used in the packing industry, usually is a highly problematic application because on the one hand the edges of individual caps are not always exactly aligned, and on the other hand copy counters that work with the reflected-light principle do not provide a reliable counting result especially with transparent objects.
